Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer well-known for her performances in the shows she performed in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The TV show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an actor, writer and actress, who is active on stage, in theatre and TV. She started her career as an actress in theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She gained fame as Miranda Shaw, a character from ABC's Quantico. In the BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she performed. In addition, she get praise from critics for her role but got a handful of awards and nominations. Her first professional performance was as Ariel, in The Tempest.
